How to Prepare

Matcha: Measure 1–2 tsp into a bowl, add 2–3 oz of 175°F water, and whisk in a zigzag motion until frothy.

Hojicha: Measure 1–2 tsp, add 2–3 oz of 195°F water, and whisk in a zigzag motion until frothy.

Both teas can be prepared as lattes with your favorite milk.

Really disappointing

"I have tried all different types of matcha on ippodo’s website and I figured I will branch out. I selected the daily matcha from Mizuba due to a YouTube video, turned out to be really disappointing. 1. The tea tasted muddy and not fresh, not sure if it’s just the blend or if the batch is just not good/old. 2. The powder does look a bit dark green with yellow tone, probably oxidized somehow but this happens when I first opened the bag, so better quality control maybe? 3. There’s no matcha fragrance from the powder and tea."

Like the pairing idea but not so much the hojicha

"I am a huge fan of all Mizuba teas. Love how the box arrives with a smiley face. Only gave 4 stars because the hojicha is not my favorite. I am drinking it (now, in fact as i write the review) but it’s not the same as matcha. Nor is it supposed to be. lol. I prefer the other matcha offerings. I do think the pairing idea is good from a marketing standpoint and product sampling. Cheers!"

"I heard of your brand through @MichelleKanemitsu in one of her YT videos, tried the Daily first and loved it. She mentioned Hojicha and thought why not? She didn’t steer me wrong with the Daily Matcha. It’s yummy, too, just different; roasted with a deeper flavor. I’m enjoying being able to drink matcha in the morning and Hojicha in the evening. Would definitely be interested in buying this set again."
