Salted Caramel Hojicha Latte

Daily Hojicha & Miso Caramel Duo

$52.00

Together, this duo turns your everyday cup into something worth slowing down for.

Our Daily Hojicha is made for delicious lattes: roasted to bring out deep caramel and woodfire notes without bitterness. To take it up a decadent notch, we created a Salted Caramel Hojicha Latte recipe — and there's no better caramel to use than the one our friends at Sugarpine Drive-in makes!  Drizzle and stir their Miso Caramel in, and our hojicha's toasty, subtly cocoa profile gets a swirl of rich, salty-sweet depth that takes your latte somewhere new.

Miso Caramel by Sugarpine Drive-In

Handcrafted in Oregon, this isn't your average jar of caramel. Built on a base of chickpea miso, it has a savory backbone underneath all that rich, buttery sweetness. The result is a caramel with real depth: sweet, salty, and deeply umami, smooth enough to melt straight into a warm latte, and equally at home drizzled over ice cream or swirled into baked goods.

  • Net weight: 9.4 oz glass jar
  • Shelf-stable; refrigerate after opening
  • Separation is natural — give the jar a shake or stir before using
  • Allergens: contains dairy; gluten-free and soy-free (made with chickpea miso)

Miso Caramel Mizuba Hojicha Sundae by Sugarpine Drive In

Inspired by Sugarpine's Hojicha Banana Pudding Sundae

What's Included

Daily Hojicha: A perfectly roasted green tea with a naturally low caffeine content, deep amber color, and comforting caramel-toasted notes. Ideal for afternoons, evenings, or anytime you want something warm and comforting. It's built for everyday drinking, hot or iced.

Miso Caramel: Handcrafted in Oregon, this isn't your average jar of caramel. Sugarpine Drive-In builds it on a base of chickpea miso, giving it a savory backbone underneath all that rich, buttery sweetness. The result is a caramel with real depth: sweet, salty, and deeply umami, smooth enough to melt straight into a warm latte, and equally at home drizzled over ice cream or swirled into baked goods.

Really disappointing

"I have tried all different types of matcha on ippodo’s website and I figured I will branch out. I selected the daily matcha from Mizuba due to a YouTube video, turned out to be really disappointing. 1. The tea tasted muddy and not fresh, not sure if it’s just the blend or if the batch is just not good/old. 2. The powder does look a bit dark green with yellow tone, probably oxidized somehow but this happens when I first opened the bag, so better quality control maybe? 3. There’s no matcha fragrance from the powder and tea."

Like the pairing idea but not so much the hojicha

"I am a huge fan of all Mizuba teas. Love how the box arrives with a smiley face. Only gave 4 stars because the hojicha is not my favorite. I am drinking it (now, in fact as i write the review) but it’s not the same as matcha. Nor is it supposed to be. lol. I prefer the other matcha offerings. I do think the pairing idea is good from a marketing standpoint and product sampling. Cheers!"

Delicious and Nutritous

"Both Daily Matchas are delicious, smooth and my favorite way to start and end my day. There isn't any bitterness and you can taste the quality of the matcha. I have already re-ordered because I don't want to have to go a day without!"

A perfect combo!

"I already loved the daily, so I was excited when this dropped. The Hojicha makes a deeply satisfying low caffeine option for the evenings or days where I've already hit my matcha limit. Love them both and will be purchasing again!"

— Brenda (5/5)

Great daily set! Fun to play around with.

"I’m really loving the daily set! The Matcha has great balance, and the hojicha is a great option when I’m looking for something more roasty in flavor. I definitely appreciate the hojicha even more when iced. It’s the perfect drink for a summer evening in my hammock with a good book. I’ve been pairing it with a bit of sweetness with honey or maple syrup."

Excellent qualify for its price point

"Ive only tried their Daily Matcha and houjicha, but I feel their daily matcha is the best quality matcha I've had per price point! It's easy to drink straight or in a latte (my preferred way of drinking it)."

— Alexandria B. (5/5)

Delicious set

"I heard of your brand through @MichelleKanemitsu in one of her YT videos, tried the Daily first and loved it. She mentioned Hojicha and thought why not? She didn’t steer me wrong with the Daily Matcha. It’s yummy, too, just different; roasted with a deeper flavor. I’m enjoying being able to drink matcha in the morning and Hojicha in the evening. Would definitely be interested in buying this set again."
