This matcha smoothie recipe is low effort and high reward — plus you already have most of the ingredients hanging out around the house. (Shoutout to @chickpeainthecity for coming up with this inventive #MizubaMatcha recipe!)
What you'll need:
1 tablespoon chia seeds (for fiber)
2 tablespoons hemp seeds (for iron & protein)
1 scoop collagen (unflavored — for protein)
1 1/2 cups water
1 frozen banana
1/2 frozen avocado (optional — it'll make the smoothie creamier)
1 tsp Mizuba Culinary Organic matcha
1 dash peppermint extract — as little as possible, but you can add more to taste
A few ice cubes
Chocolate chips or cacao nibs to taste
Instructions:
1. Add everything besides the chocolate to your blender and blend, blend, blend until it reaches your desired consistency.
2. Stir in chocolate with a spoon if you want bigger pieces, or add and then briefly blend for smaller pieces.
