Nagomi Ceremonial Organic Matcha Green Tea

$48.00

Harvested only once a year, our first flush organic matcha is certified by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries of Japan (JAS). The single harvest ensures your tea is the highly sought first harvest of the year and full of nutrients. With organic matcha, it is said that the more savory, earthy flavor is similar to how matcha was grown and produced historically. Though certified organic matcha is difficult to produce, the effort is well worth the result. The bold, profound umami taste of our organic ceremonial grade matcha is an experience not to be missed.

Aroma: our most robust Matcha can give scents of dried figs on the nose.

Flavor Profile: nuttier flavors like roasted hazelnuts or buttery macadamia nuts, and exceptionally vegetal tones (garden greens, kelp spinach) give our organic ceremonial tea its bold, blissful bloom in the mouth.

How to brew:

  • Warm your chawan tea bowl with hot water.
  • Place 1.5-2g (1 tsp) of  matcha into your chawan.
  • Add 1 ounce of 160ºF-175ºF water to the tea and make koicha (a thick paste).
  • Add about another 1.5-2 ounces of water.
  • Whisk with your chasen until the tea is fully aerated to make usucha.
  • Enjoy!

Add another 2-4 oz. water and whisk the tea in an M-shape motion until frothy. Enjoy!

Stone Milled

All Mizuba matcha is stone milled in Japan. This time-intensive process leads to a depth of flavor not found in conventional teas.
