Hi guys! Lauren here. I personally wanted to write a little note to you all today. It's hard to begin to express my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you here. But I hope this humble note will communicate a portion of the gratitude I feel.
So many words can't truly express the gift, joy, blessing and honor it's been to serve you true matcha green tea from our friends in Uji.
Thank you to all who have believed in us, supported us, and gathered around tea with us.
Thank you to all the individuals all over the country who enjoy pure matcha and want to learn more about a beautiful tradition. Thank you to all the radical stores, shops, studios, boutiques, hotels, spas, cafés and restaurants who serve our matcha with integrity & care. Thank you especially to my wonderful friends and matcha producers in Japan who are exceptionally committed to keeping the love of quality matcha alive. I can only fathom a sliver of the hard work & labor it takes to produce such a beautiful and special craft from visiting you. What continually shows is your joy in ensuring the art of matcha isn't lost. I thank God every day that we get to enjoy something so simple and profound as tea! I could go on and on about the community that tea and matcha has built in my life, as I'm sure it's brought a little bit of happiness and connection to yours. The past 5 years have purely been about sharing Mizuba Matcha with all the enthusiasm in my heart. I never, ever set out to "sell something" in my life. Mizuba truly grew out of sheer enthusiasm for this tea and sharing it with others. We're still a very small, family-run company that works hard every day asking questions, listening, learning, and always striving to share the most authentic matcha experience possible. In five years we have yet to pursue traditional advertising or marketing - our company is entirely based on relationships! Your equally enthusiastic word of mouth and organic sharing of our matcha has really propelled us! I didn't know if anyone would care when I started out. Turns out, a lot of you enjoy matcha *almost* as much as I do ;) Thank you so much for your help in sharing this tea. We've had so much fun! I don't take the responsibility of sourcing exceptional matcha and sharing it with you lightly. You can continue to expect beautiful, high-quality teas, fun collaborations, and many matcha moments to share in the years to come. Cheers-ing with my chawan to you all today, Lauren
