This teacup is made from porcelain and formed to have three feet. The cup is coated in an iron-rich Tenmoku glaze with a contemporary twist which results in the speckled pattern which melts down the cup. 

Tenmoku is a style of Japanese pottery characterized by simple, bold shapes. "The emphasis is on the ceramic glaze, where a number of distinct effects can be produced, some including an element of randomness that has a philosophical appeal to the Japanese." 

Pairs well with our organic sencha loose leaf tea.
